Here’s what our Monterey volunteer anglers are saying about the descending devices they tested:
“SeaQualizer: Fastest time for fish back into water.”
“Milkcrate: More fish per descent.”
“Roklees and SeaQualizer are fast and don’t require rope, which CPFVs hate putting over the side. Blacktip is also fast, but has rope attachment (as set up on the trip). Milkcrate is bulky and would tangle in prop and other lines, but easy to use and cheap to make.”
“SeaQualizer: Less effort, least tangle.”
